RFG Wealth Advisory Team News Spring '26

A newsletter from RFG Wealth Advisory featuring personal stories, family updates, and career progressions by team members, with a focus on the changes and transitions of the season.

RFG Stories - Chris Robinson Hello, and welcome to springtime. I always enjoy the transition from Summer to Fall and Winter to Spring. My family is doing well with considerable change coming our way. My son Henry is in the technology world and continues to do well. “I always enjoy the transition from Summer to Fall and Winter to Spring. TEAM NEWS RFG Wealth Advisory Jacob’s college football career has come to an end after another injury. We so enjoyed watching him play 3 years of college football, but we are excited about his future. He is ready to become a serious student and prepare for his future career. He plans to transfer to Texas Tech or the University of Oklahoma to complete his degree in accounting. This fall will be the first time he hasn’t played football in 15 years. It will be nice to have my weekends free this fall! Ben is a senior at Argyle High School and will graduate in May. He will be attending the University of North Texas this fall, studying accounting. We recently toured the campus, and I hardly recognized my alma mater! I realized that he will be the fourth generation in my family to attend North Texas. My grandfather went to school there in the late 1920s, my father in the 1960s, and I attended in the late 1980s. I am excited for the adventures he will have! Spring 2026

Molly is finishing her freshman year of high school. She is on the tennis team and enjoys that. She’s incredibly studious, and we are excited about her future! Watch out on the roads of Argyle, she is now learning how to drive! Joyce and I will be celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary this summer. One of my favorite movies growing up was “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” To quote Ferris, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” th We are busy as usual here at RFG, always trying to help our clientele grow their wealth and make good financial decisions. We are very appreciative of our clients, and we want you to know that. I look forward to seeing you soon! Chris Robinson

This past December, some of our RFG Wealth Team had a wonderful opportunity to assist with the Christmas gift organization and distribution for the families served by the Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas. Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas and its partners are the front-line responders to reports of child sexual abuse in Denton, Wise, and Jack Counties. They use a unified approach to provide education, healing, and justice to children, families, and our community. RFG in Action

Welcome New Team Member I'm grateful to be part of the RFG Wealth Advisory team, where I can combine my love for organization, strategy, and service to deliver an exceptional client experience. Before joining RFG, I served as Director of Operations at a financial advisory firm in Utah, where I led operational initiatives, streamlined systems, and partnered closely with executive leadership to help the business run efficiently and effectively. I thrive behind the scenes—designing processes, coordinating projects, and managing the details that allow our advisors to focus fully on serving clients. I genuinely enjoy creating structure, clarity, and smooth workflows. Originally from Utah, I recently relocated to Texas with my husband. We love spending time outdoors with our two dogs and exploring our new home state. I'm passionate about contributing to a team that serves families with excellence, integrity, and care, and I look forward to connecting with you. Rylie Reynolds - Client Service Manager

RFG University Can You Make a QCD From An Inherited IRA? Exploring the potential of your inherited IRA can lead to surprising opportunities, especially when it comes to charitable giving. One such opportunity is the Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), a tax-savvy way to support causes you care about while fulfilling your obligations as an IRA owner. In this article, we’ll dive into the necessary steps of making a QCD from an inherited IRA, helping you understand the benefits, rules, and strategies that can make this a powerful tool in your financial planning. Whether you’re familiar with the concept or just beginning to explore it, this guide will provide the clarity you need to make informed decisions. What is a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)? A qualified charitable distribution QCD lets you donate directly from your IRA account to a qualified charity, keeping those funds out of your taxable income. This approach can help prevent you from moving into a higher tax bracket, which often happens with typical IRA withdrawals. To take advantage of a QCD, you need to be aged 70½ or older. You’re allowed to give a set amount per tax year through this method, and you’re free to split that amount among multiple charities if you wish. The key requirement is that the donation goes directly to the charity— handling the funds yourself disqualifies the distribution as a QCD. more.... What is a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)?

Since working part-time at RFG, I’ve taken up acrylic painting. I’ve been following one painter online for a while and have been taking online lessons for about a year. Recently, an artist we’ve admired for years began his own online course as well. I joined in a heartbeat and have learned so much. Spring is here, and we’re talking about Christmas. However, Christmas in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, is a treat! The beaches aren’t crowded, the restaurants serve wonderful food, and the relaxation is real. We miss being with family, but thoroughly enjoyed our week there. A huge surprise Christmas present from our daughter was tickets to see the remastered original version of The Wizard of Oz at The Sphere in Las Vegas. The 3 of us rented a room at the Venetian Hotel and spent 2 and a half days just exploring and entertaining ourselves. We also saw the Eagles at The Sphere. This surprise was our addition to all the Las Vegas fun. It was a trip we’ll remember for a long time. Painting has become a new passion, and I have a perfect studio space set up in our 3-car garage. The temperature does dictate my ability to work out there, but most of the time it’s doable. We got me a portable heater for the winter, but summer’s coming! RFG Stories - Susan Dawson Classic Rock Music & Art!

In our last newsletter, Mateo's team was entering its last home game of an undefeated season. During that game, Mateo suffered a non-contact ACL/MCL tear, and like that, his season was over; 12 fall seasons and 1000's of hours training, preparation, and recovery...done! But still, we wouldn't change it for anything. The amount of self-development, team camaraderie, and lessons learned was worth every bit of the journey. RFG Stories - Emilio Gonzalez The team went 2 rounds deep in the playoffs, and Mateo played a pivotal role on the sidelines as a leader and mentor to his teammates. He was elected Team Captain, Defensive MVP, First-Team All-District, and most importantly, Academic All- State. We all made amazing friends along the way and now look forward to the next chapters in our lives. Mateo has elected to hang up the cleats and focus on the next steps, including attending Texas Tech University for a dual degree in Finance and Accounting. Guns Up, baby!!!! There are more trips on the horizon, but that will be news for the next RFG Newsletter. Welcome to spring and all the wonderful joys it brings. I love working for each of you and wish you many blessings this year.

Mia, my granddaughter, will probably miss the games as much as anyone. Olivia made sure she was outfitted in her Bobcat gear and ready to cheer. She is still performing the "Let’s go Bobcats” chant whenever there is anything that remotely resembles a drum. Olivia is still grinding away at her PhD at UNT and doing amazing. She is looking forward to her upcoming clinicals with UNT Football and a local sports rehab clinic Isabella has made a beautiful home for herself and is still in Oklahoma at Tinker Air Force Base. They plan to add to the family dynamics when the time is right... yay! I love grandbabies. Diego is working locally and has established a large customer base and a great work ethic. He is developing some additional business plans, and I can't wait to see what comes of them. Sharon and I are preparing for the empty nest with excitement and a little anxiety. It will be a new phase for us, but it will allow us to spend some much-needed time together and catch up on some traveling we have been wanting to do for a while. Though we absolutely love spending time at our home, we are eager to explore what comes next... look out, world, here we come!!!

RFG Stories - Nick Noll Sadly, we said goodbye to o ur beloved 13-year-old Great Dane, Layla, this past month. She was an absolute gentle giant and a cherished part of our family for so many years. Layla lived a wonderful, long life for a Dane, and while she'll be deeply missed, we're grateful for all the joy, slobbery kisses, and memories she gave us. Our hearts are a little heavier, but full of love for the time we had with her. On a brighter note, Addison has some exciting news—she's been accepted into a medical assistant internship program! She's thrilled to take this next step toward her medical career goals, building on the experience she gained from her summer internship with her mom. We're so proud of her drive and dedication as she navigates her junior year. What a busy and bittersweet few months it's been in the Noll household! The holidays flew by in a blur of laughter, good food, and quality time together as we celebrated Christmas, rang in the New Year, and soaked up every moment as a family. We're still adjusting to our new normal with Kylie away at Murray State College—missing her energy around the house but loving hearing about her continued adventures on the soccer field and in her studies. It's been a mix of pride and that quiet ache of an emptier nest, but we're cheering her on every step of the way!

Surprise! (to even us)... we got a dog. Never saw that coming, but here we are! Our oldest son is highly allergic to dogs, so we had not even considered it. A relative in Missouri informed us of a 4-year-old Goldendoodle who had been used for breeding and was in need of a new home. Luckily, she has not bothered Calvin's allergies or skin. So... meet Daisy! He said he wanted to spend his checks entirely on gumballs. Sorry, buddy, not happening. He is now the most famous dude we know. Use this link to watch the commercial. He makes his appearance about 45 seconds in - See the commerical here. Emil y, our youngest, is stepping into a new chapter of her own: she's starting to learn how to drive! The nerves are real (for all of us!), but she's approaching it with her usual enthusiasm and is already making progress behind the wheel. High school life keeps her busy with friends and activities, and we love watching her grow. Through the ups and downs, we're reminding ourselves to cherish every moment. Here's to more family adventures, new milestones, and the strength we find in each other! RFG Stories - Mike Lemich Another surprise, our youngest son, Carson, auditioned and was picked to be in a Good Good Golf commercial that filmed down in Austin. He got to live the life with his own golf cart, a personal stylist, a table of unlimited snacks and drinks, and received two big paychecks in the mail. Our family has stayed busy this spring with a mix of sports, school, and fun activities. The kids have been juggling practices, games, and birthdays/holidays, keeping our evenings full and exciting.

RFG Stories - Ryan Schroer Back home, the focus has shifted to the hardwood. All three of our kids are playing basketball this season, and they are having a great time. The boys are competing hard on their school teams, and our daughter plays with a group of friends—it's fun to watch. Our oldest has also tried his hand at disc golf, which has been a fun family activity when the weather is nice. The last few months have offered great opportunities to explore new landscapes and stay active. We spent some fantastic time in Park City, Utah, taking in the mountain scenery and exploring the outdoors. From trekking through the rugged trails to enjoying Main Street, it was a wonderful experience for the whole family. We had a great time traversing the region, skiing, and taking in the unique beauty of the Utah wonderland. Our daughter will be baptized at our church soon, and she is very excited about this special occasion. Weekends are spent in fields and parks, enjoying time together outdoors. We've also squeezed in bike rides, family walks, and a few special outings. It's been a season of growth, teamwork, and lots of cheering from the sidelines. As the weather warms up, we're all looking forward to summer—more relaxed days, vacations, swimming, making even more memories together, and spending time with friends and extended family nearby. I have been lucky enough to serve as a director for both the Children's Advocacy Center for North Texas and the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce this year. Each organization has been busy planning for 2026 and represents and serves our community well. You'll see RFG represented by our team at these not-for-profits and other worthy local causes. We have the PediPlace Amazing (fund)Racer on April 19 at Lakeside in Flower Mound, and we hope to see you there. We are proud to invest in and support our local community. The firm continues to grow by delivering exceptional value to our clients, and it is our joy to serve others.

RFG Stories - Lanette Frost We have had a fun - filled, wonderfully busy first quarter. My oldest daughter, Lydia, graduates in May and has been soaking up all the senior moments—snapping senior photos, hunting down scholarships, and saying yes to the perfect final prom dress. She’s close to choosing between TCU and ACU and plans to major in Interior Design. Stay tuned for the next newsletter to see whether she becomes a Horned Frog or a Wildcat! My son Ben and I just had the best Mom’s Weekend at TCU with his fraternity brothers. We moms feel incredibly blessed to have formed such close friendships over the last year and a half, and we all agree that TCU is truly a special place for our boys. We squeezed in several memorable outings, including a TCU basketball game that ended in a big victory! Ben also just got back from a Spring Break trip to Cabo, where he soaked up plenty of sun and beach time with his buddies. We jump at any chance to be with family, especially when we can be outside. Fishing is my Sophia’s favorite way to enjoy the fresh air. She’s already excited about joining the bass fishing team once she’s in high school. Lydia, Sophia, and I have been incredibly grateful to be part of the National Charity League for the past 4 years and to serve our community together. One of our favorite events each year is Night to Shine, where we help on the red - carpet team. We love being the cheering “paparazzi,” celebrating honored guests with special needs and reminding them they are deeply loved and seen. I’ve been honored to serve as VP of Philanthropy with NCL for the past few years and am excited to dive into a new role in the year ahead. Sophie was surrounded by so much love and support from friends and family during her theater production of Frozen Jr. It is one of our favorite shows to be part of, and the theater always feels like such a magical place. She has loved putting her choir skills to work on stage this spring.

RFG Stories - Michael Tull Spring is my favorite season, although it’s a busy one. I’ve always looked forward to the wintertime slowdown, but Spring can’t get here fast enough. We wrapped up winter with Connor’s basketball season, and while they didn’t go all the way, we had our signature win by knocking off the #2 seed in the playoffs. I was so proud of the effort and toughness it took to win that game. We also got off to an early start for Casen’s baseball season, with practices starting in January. Those few weeks where they overlap are a whirlwind, but we managed. Coaching has always been something I love, and coaching the boys is even better. Knowing that I’ve only got a few years left to do that isn’t something I’m quite ready for, but building relationships with the players and families on those teams is a privilege. Cayden is in the swing of things with his golf game. He’s truly playing great, and as much as it pains me to say it, it would take his worst day on the golf course and my best day to catch him now. He’s played his way into the 1 Varsity team at Argyle, and that’s no small undertaking. He’s put in countless hours to find the consistency it takes to compete at that level, and I’m so proud of how far he’s come. st The older I get, the more I value the experiences that Stef and I get to have with the boys, and we’ve got a big one coming up. I’ll get to experience the Masters Tournament with Stef and Cayden in April, and while the Masters is truly the top of the sports mountain, getting to be there with our oldest son will be an experience unlike any other.
