Since working part-time at RFG, I’ve taken up acrylic painting. I’ve been following one painter online for a while and have been taking online lessons for about a year. Recently, an artist we’ve admired for years began his own online course as well. I joined in a heartbeat and have learned so much. Spring is here, and we’re talking about Christmas. However, Christmas in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, is a treat! The beaches aren’t crowded, the restaurants serve wonderful food, and the relaxation is real. We miss being with family, but thoroughly enjoyed our week there. A huge surprise Christmas present from our daughter was tickets to see the remastered original version of The Wizard of Oz at The Sphere in Las Vegas. The 3 of us rented a room at the Venetian Hotel and spent 2 and a half days just exploring and entertaining ourselves. We also saw the Eagles at The Sphere. This surprise was our addition to all the Las Vegas fun. It was a trip we’ll remember for a long time. Painting has become a new passion, and I have a perfect studio space set up in our 3-car garage. The temperature does dictate my ability to work out there, but most of the time it’s doable. We got me a portable heater for the winter, but summer’s coming!
