In addition, we know that RMDs cannot be conversion. The difference now is that ALL of a person’s total aggregated IRA RMDs must rolled over or converted. Lindsay Freeman Lindsay Freeman The next month, we ventured to Downtown Grapevine to soak in the Christmas festivities. The streets were lined with twinkling lights, and the scent of hot cocoa and gingerbread wafted through the air. Then Christmas came, and the day was perfect, filled with laughter and warmth, and as you can see in the photo, Bosten’s excitement is palpable. That picture? It’s a snapshot of his heart—a boy full of energy, love, and endless enthusiasm. It has been a quiet season at the Freeman House. We kicked things off with a trip to Six Flags just before the cold really set in. Our oldest, no longer as excited about the rides as his younger brother and sister, still found his own way to enjoy the day—cheering them on from the sidelines, or walking with us through the park, taking in the sights and sounds of the place he once adored. The younger two couldn’t get enough of the roller coasters, their laughter filling the air as they rode again and again.
Later, the boys celebrated 100 days of school by dressing as if they were 100 years old—gray hair, glasses, and all. They shuffled around in their suspenders, each one trying to act as old as possible, much to our amusement. Time feels like it moves faster every day, but in these moments, we find ourselves cherishing the simplicity of it all. No grand vacations or hectic schedules—just us, together, creating memories we’ll hold close for years to come. When the snow finally came, we were ready. The kids, excited beyond belief, rushed outside, leaving tiny footprints in the fresh powder. We spent the afternoon having snowball fights, laughing until our cheeks were rosy. This was Charley’s first snow, so we had to make snow angels and of course, our snowman.

Emilio Gonzalez After moving into our rebuilt home this fall, it has become the "event center" for our family get- togethers. Our very first event was Mia's first birthday. That was extremely special; she was a very gracious guest of honor (or maybe a guest of Ornery). I highly recommended gifts of 529 contributions…imagine that! Maybe I am the one who is ornery! Next, we hosted Thanksgiving (My favorite holiday of the year). It was so great. We had 27 friends and relatives attend, and a meal fit for kings. Seeing a house full of interactions and conversations warmed my heart. I loved it. Ah, Winter Wonderland. It seems in Almost as heart-warming, Mateo hosted a "Friends- Texas we get all four seasons in the giving" with 16 of his buddies. You are missing out if winter. It felt somewhat like a Norman Rockwell painting mixed with a Ernest Hemingway cocktail!. There's nothing like having the entire family together!
Nick Noll On the sports front, Kylie, our senior, had her Senior Night for soccer last month. It was an emotional evening—equal parts joy and nostalgia—as we watched her play one of her last home games. It’s hard to believe how quickly time has flown! Meanwhile, Emily wrapped up her final season of middle school basketball. She played so well, and while it’s sad to see this chapter close, we know she has plenty more exciting moments ahead. The past few months have been a whirlwind of celebrations, milestones, and bittersweet endings for our family! We kicked things off by hosting Thanksgiving with family, filling our home with laughter, good food, and way too many leftovers. The holiday season continued with an amazing Christmas, surrounded by loved ones, making memories we’ll cherish forever.

Mike Lemich The week before Christmas, our family explored Branson, Missouri for the first time and really enjoyed the variety of activities it offered. From hiking to the mountain coaster to the performances & Christmas festivities, we had a great time on the trip and would definitely go back again. They also had some of the best cinnamon rolls we have ever tasted! Calvin and I went on our first “boy’s trip” to Utah to visit my parents and attend a BYU basketball and football game. Calvin was thrilled when it started snowing the day of the football game. We managed to have a good time, despite our team losing the game and our toes getting frozen solid. Our family started playing pickleball in the fall when some new courts opened near our home. We were hoping to make it our new family sport. However, after a few lessons, Anastasia decided it was not for her and wants to try golf instead. On the other hand, it quickly became Calvin’s favorite sport, and he has been playing in kids' clinics and winning tournaments at Chicken n Pickle and Dinkers.
We hope the spring weather returns soon and everyone enjoys spending time outside in the beautiful weather again! Carson is thriving in his preschool. Letters are still a mystery to him, but he loves counting and numbers. His favorite number is “eighteen-ninety”. Why that is, I am not sure I will ever know.
