Dear Friends of Headwaters, Headwaters has a practice called Acknowledgements that we use regularly with students, faculty, staff, and trustees. When we invite Acknowledgements of each other, whether it’s at The Forward, in a Pitso, as part of a faculty or board meeting, we are, in essence, saying to another person, “I see you, I appreciate you, and I am grateful for you.” In the spirit of Acknowledgements, we want you, who have given so much to the school over the past year, to know that we feel your impact and we are grateful. This annual report, in part, tells the story of monetary giving over the past year. But our community runs on connection, volunteering, and service too. So, in addition to the financial gifts, we acknowledge: • The parent volunteers who sustain the library • We acknowledge the guides who care for students on the Creek Campus by reshelving books, when the day has been challenging, they have reading to the students, and keeping the forgotten their lunch, or lost their project.
